MEGA Beauty Empties Recycling Program
In Hong Kong, L'Occitane en Provence partnered with social enterprise V Cycle to launch the #MEGA Beauty Empties Recycling Program.
Through the return reward mechanism, we hope to encourage people to practice sustainable behavior while promoting the proper recycling and upcycling of leftover product packaging.
MEGA members can earn annual #MEGA points through the above actions and redeem for exquisite gifts!
The latest points accumulation year is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
MEGA BEAUTY EMPTIES RECYCLING PROGRAM
L'Occitane en Provence has always been committed to reducing waste. In partnership with the Hong Kong social enterprise V Cycle, we have launched the #MEGA (Make Earth Green Again) Recycling Program to encourage eco-friendly shopping at any L'Occitane en Provence boutiques in Hong Kong. MEGA members can earn points and redeem exquisite gifts. Since the launch of the program in 2022, we have successfully recycled over 2,300,000 beauty empties. Together, let's make a positive impact on our environment!

V CYCLE
V Cycle is a social enterprise tackling Hong Kong's environmental issues on both an ecological and human level. It gives people a platform to recycle and reuse valuable resources to create a circular economy that benefits both the environment and our society.
Their initiatives are not only alleviating Hong Kong's plastic problem but also providing care for elderly "cardboard grannies" and creating meaningful jobs for special needs adults; all while educating the public.
ACTION TO REDUCE WASTE
1976 - GLASS BOTTLE RETURNING
In 1976, L'Occitane en Provence was founded in Provence and launched a glass bottle returning program to encourage customers to recycle their empty bottles.
2008 -REFILLS
Introduced refills since 2008, reducing on average 85% less plastic than initial bottles, and now saving 200 tons of plastic a year. Now in recycled and recyclable plastic.
2020 - THE FIRST REFILL FOUNTAIN
Launch of the 1st refill fountain in store. Presently in more than 100 shops across 33 countries, including Hong Kong.
2021 - MEGA BEAUTY EMPTIES RECYCLING PROGRAM
L'Occitane en Provence opened its first #MEGA sustainability concept store in Hong Kong, launching the MEGA Beauty Empties Recycling Program with social enterprise V Cycle.
MEGA Program Terms and Conditions
- Points and rewards are valid from Apr 1, 2025 to Mar 31, 2026.
- Points and rewards will expire on April 1, 2026 and not be retained thereafter without notice.
- The annual limit for recycling empties per account is 500 MEGA points.
- Gift content and rewards scheme may be changed due to stock availability.
- In order to redeem VIP points, the phone number registered for L'Occitane en Provence VIP program must be the same as the one registered for the MEGA Beauty Empties Recycling Program.
- Non L'Occitane en Provence VIP is entitled to only gift redemption per tier in one year, no repeat redemption is allowed.
- Gift cannot be returned or exchanged. Limited offer while stock lasts.
- MEGA Rewards is not applicable to brand.com and Duty-Free Shops.
- SOGO stores will temporarily suspend collection service during SOGO Thankful Week.
