Immersive Enjoyment: The Ritual of Showering

Once an emblematic feature of Provence, almond trees were abandoned for half a century after the disastrous winter of 1956 and the mass uprooting that followed, in favour of more profitable and less labour-intensive crops. Generations of almond trees vanished from the Valensole Plateau. In light of the situation, the brand has set up a sustainable partnership with local producers by sourcing most of its almonds from the Valensole Plateau and by repurposing produce not used by the food sector. ​ In the year of 2020, under the support of L’Occitane, he began to engage in agroecology. Despite a lower yield from each tree, we obtain incomparably high-quality produce from it. Nowadays, 50 hectares undergoing a transition towards regenerative agriculture in Valensole Plateau. Having resumed their place in the landscape, the almond trees have also resumed their crucial role in protecting the local soils from erosion.
